Automatic Watch
Ref. 134.601
We are excited to present the Heuer Regatta automatic wristwatch, reference 134.601, dating from the 1980s. Designed specifically for yacht racing, Heuer introduced the “600” series Regatta in 1983. Its most distinctive feature is the five circular apertures on the dial, which change color from blue to orange during the countdown.
This self-winding timepiece is powered by the original automatic Lemania caliber 1345. It features a chronograph complication with a central 60-second hand and a unique 10-minute regatta timer. The movement contains 17 jewels, offers a 44-hour power reserve, and beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour. Swiss made.
How it works: The moment the chrono pusher is pressed, the large orange hand snaps to 12 o’clock, initiating the countdown. Simultaneously, five blank discs on the dial light up blue, marking T minus 10 minutes. With each passing minute, a disc rotates to reveal orange. At T-5, all are orange. Then, one by one, they fade back to black.
This function isn’t just for show, it’s a critical tool for a regatta skipper. Immediately, the dial reveals exactly how much time remains before the race begins. It mirrors the traditional race signals: a cannon at T-10, again at T-5, and finally at the start. With this watch, the skipper can time his tack perfectly by hitting the start line at full speed as the final cannon fires.
Housed in a military-style 43.5mm tonneau black PVD-coated steel case, with a unidirectional rotating countdown bezel and water resistance up to 100 meters (330 feet / 10 ATM). It features a screw-down case back and an original signed screw-down crown for enhanced durability.
The black dial is accented by luminous dots and applied silver indexes, a white minute/second track, and bold white and orange hands. The dial is signed with the HEUER logo at the top and “Regatta Automatic 100 Metres” at the bottom.
This timepiece comes fitted with a black and gray two-piece rubber strap.
The watch is in very good condition, running accurately, and all functions operate smoothly.
Thank you for considering this timepiece. Feel free to reach out with any questions or respectful offers!

Vintage watches are traditionally smaller than today's watches. Men’s watches typically measure between 29-36mm wide (some larger, some smaller) excluding the crown. In the listing details we typically try to do our best to list all pertinent dimensions of a watch. If you don't see it, or we failed to do so, please reach out to us. Women’s watches from the 1900s-1970s were also much smaller than today's offerings. Please also feel free to ask any questions you have concerning size.
We prefer to take photographs outdoors when the weather allows. However, when shooting indoors, please note that we use lightboxes equipped with 360 LED bulbs, which can magnify any flaws that may be less noticeable to the naked eye. That said, we never use Photoshop to alter our images or remove blemishes. While we may adjust the lighting as needed, what you see is what you get, and we take pride in that.
